- Reads recipes and produces products in a timely manner.
- Reads the daily prep sheet to determine production amounts.
- Places products in the hot wells once properly heated and reheats various food products and place on the line as needed.
- Stores all food products in specific size pans, covers, labels, dates and places on the line as needed.
- Clean as you go and sanitize the work area, equipment, walls and floors.
- Assists management team in controlling food cost.
- Observes the basic rules of kitchen safety, sanitation and back door safety.
- Uses First In First Out (FIFO) rule to ensure proper rotation.
- Utilizes various cleaning chemicals in accordance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Completes all daily, opening and closing side work. Get checked out by management before leaving the building.
- Provides friendly and competent customer service.
- Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
- Assists with other duties, as assigned.
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Restaurant, retail or guest service experience preferred.
- Able to work under stress.
- Able to work accurately and rapidly.
- Able to multitask.
- Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
- Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required.
- Ability to work with different pieces of kitchen equipment.
- Must be well groomed and follow company uniform standards.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
- Must have reliable transportation and phone.
- Must be able to communicate in English. - IF APPLICABLE
- Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
- Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., while performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods of time; frequently walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear; occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
