Job Overview
Boss Tacos is seeking a hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. This role is ideal for someone who can build strong teams, maintain food quality and operational standards, and run an organized, accountable shift from open to close.
We’re looking for a leader who can coach staff, control costs, protect the guest experience, and keep the restaurant running cleanly, efficiently, and consistently across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and peak rush periods. What You’ll Do
- Lead daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift execution, cleanliness, service flow, ticket accuracy, and team accountability
- Oversee drive-thru, in-store, and pickup/online order execution to maintain speed, accuracy, and guest satisfaction
- Train, coach, and develop team members to improve performance, consistency, and retention
- Maintain standards for food quality, portioning, prep execution, presentation, and order accuracy across a broad menu
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations through routine checks, coaching, and follow-through
- Oversee inventory, including ordering, receiving, stock rotation, counts, and waste reduction
- Monitor key cost drivers such as portion control, spoilage, waste, and product variance
- Manage labor scheduling and shift deployment based on sales trends, daypart needs, and service standards
- Support cash handling accuracy through drawer reconciliation, deposits, and daily accountability procedures
- Review POS and shift reports, including sales, refunds, voids, comps, discounts, and related exceptions
- Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally while reinforcing hospitality standards with the team
- Build and maintain training checklists, station guides, and SOPs to support consistency and development
- Use daily and weekly reporting to improve labor efficiency, food cost, service performance, and operational consistency
- Partner with ownership on staffing, store performance, and operational improvements
What You’ll Bring
- 3 years of management in fast casual, quick service, or another high-volume restaurant setting
- Strong leadership, coaching, and accountability skills
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food safety, guest service, shift management, inventory control, and quality standards
- Scheduling and labor management knowledge
- Confidence with inventory, ordering, receiving, counts, and waste control
- Strong cash-handling and reporting discipline, including drawers, deposits, refunds, voids, comps, discounts, and variances
- Ability to read reports and act on sales, labor, and cost trends
- Strong organization and follow-through in a busy environment
- Comfort leading fast-paced breakfast service, rush periods, and multi-channel order flow
- Experience maintaining consistency across a large menu with multiple proteins, sauces, and prep stations
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods during shifts
Preferred
- Toast POS experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience with drive-thru operations and high-volume order accuracy standards
- Experience in a fresh-prep or scratch-kitchen environment
