Role Description The Mitigation Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Mount Pleasant, SC. This position is responsible for performing water, fire, and mold mitigation services, including assessing damage, setting up drying and dehumidification equipment, and monitoring job progress to industry standards. Daily tasks include documenting conditions, taking measurements and photos, preparing reports, and communicating clearly with customers, team members, and supervisors. The Mitigation Specialist will follow safety protocols, assist in emergency response efforts, and coordinate with the restoration team to ensure efficient, high-quality service. The role also includes maintaining equipment, supporting continuous process improvement, and upholding company policies and customer service expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong mitigation and hazard mitigation skills, with experience in disaster cleanup or restoration environments.
- Solid analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to assess damage, interpret data, and determine appropriate mitigation plans.
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and supervisors, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of emergency management practices and the ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying equipment, and working in varying environmental conditions.
