Description: Ensure efficient operation of school counselor’s office and provide clerical services for middle school and high school counseling department.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient word processing and file maintenance skills
Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Experience with PEIMS preferred
Experience:
One to three years secretarial experience, preferably in public education environment
Job Duties: Assist with student records, transcripts and student/parent contact information
Assist with disseminating scholarship opportunities to students and parents
Assist with dual credit matters
Assist in preparation of testing materials for testing throughout the school year
Assist counselor with general daily operations; i.e. meetings, calls, scheduling
Assist in ordering supplies and managing budgets for the MS/HS counseling dept.
Assist with daily operations that fall under the MS/HS counseling dept.
