Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) | Bosque Trail Animal Hospital | Albuquerque, NM
Use your license, not just your restraint skills. Our RVTs handle anesthesia, dentistry and lab work, while our veterinary assistants take care of restraint, room turnover and laundry.
$23–$28 an hour · Four 10-hour days, Monday–Friday · No weekends, no overnights, no on-call
Who we are
We’re a small-animal general practice for dogs and cats in the Northeast Heights. We do wellness care, scheduled surgery, dentistry with full-mouth radiographs, and in-house diagnostics. We don’t do emergency care or overnight hospitalization. With a fourth veterinarian joining the team, we’re adding two RVTs.
Your day
- Induce and monitor anesthesia for scheduled surgeries and dentals
- Perform dental cleanings and take full-mouth dental radiographs
- Place IV catheters and draw blood
- Run our in-house lab and take radiographs
- Care for patients in our day hospital
- Explain home care to clients at discharge
Your schedule
We’re open Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. You work four of those days, 10 hours each, with your weekday off on a rotation. Your weekends are always free.
What you need
- Registration as an RVT with the New Mexico Board of Veterinary Medicine, or the ability to transfer within 90 days of hire
- 2 years in small-animal general practice
- Confidence with anesthesia, IV catheters, blood draws, dental cleanings and dental radiographs
- Fear Free certification is a plus. If you don’t have it, we’ll pay for it.
