About the Team Bose is seeking an exceptional Audio Machine Learning Scientist to join our Audio AI applied research group. Our team’s goal is to develop technologies that drive the next generation of wearable and out loud audio devices, including hearing aids, hearables and beyond. We’re looking for candidates with strong experience in deep learning for audio, traditional digital signal processing, and a desire to combine them in novel ways to enable astonishing new experiences that let you hear what you want to hear. Bose has a strong history of combining creative thinking with groundbreaking technology in the audio domain. We're looking for candidates passionate about ML and audio to help shape Bose's next chapter. About the Role Join a lightweight but highly impactful audio machine learning group within a collaborative research organization home to world class expertise in digital signal processing, acoustics, psychoacoustics, hearing assistance, control systems and material science. Research and develop novel algorithms to enable next-gen use-cases using technology such as hybrid ML/DSP, source separation, speech synthesis/transformation, spatial audio, tiny ML, and active noise cancellation. Collaborate with domain experts within the Bose research community to develop interdisciplinary solution to exciting problems. Have the opportunity to develop algorithms that will ship to millions of Bose customers and improve their lives by allowing them to hear what they want to hear. Actively engage with the broader academic/industrial research community by participating in top AI and signal processing conferences, giving talks and publishing. About You PhD or Masters 2-5 years' experience in deep learning-based audio and signal processing with a focus on real-time systems. Deep understanding of and experience with implementing innovative AI based audio signal processing techniques and architectures including source separation, hybrid signal processing, spatial audio processing, voice conversion, acoustic echo cancellation. Publications in relevant communities such as ICASSP, INTERSPEECH, NeurIPS, ICML, ISMIR, DCASE, TALSP, etc. Excellent skills in software engineering / signal processing using tools such as Python, TensorFlow, Pytorch, MATLAB. Hands on experience sourcing, cleaning, manipulating, analyzing and visualizing of large-scale data, audio and otherwise. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, comfortable presenting work, listening, writing and working with others.
