What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician/ Medical assistant position at Bosak Optical?
We are seeking an Optometric Technician/ Medical Assistant to become a part of our team. You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the optometry office running smoothly.
Hours: Mondays 9:00am-7 pm, Thursday 8am- 4 pm and Friday 8:45-2
Responsibilities:
- Working up patients for the doctors including a detailed ocular/ medical history
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
- Communicate with patients via phone regarding order status
- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Contact lens trainings for new wears
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast- paced environment
- Friendly and compassionate personality
Pay: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour
