What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler position at Borusan Pipe USA?
Working Conditions:
The working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. This job will require a combination of work on the shop floor and in an office environment. Operational areas require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Qualifications:
1.1. Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering. A Degree in other
industrial or technical fields will be considered.
1.2. Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and related systems/software.
1.3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Auto CAD.
1.4. Ability to learn and utilize new software for Computer Maintenance Management System. Proficiency in Microsoft AX is preferred.
1.5. Knowledge of the industrial manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
1.6. Working knowledge and Hands-On experience in performing maintenance repairs.
1.7. Ability to read documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure/equipment manuals as well as electrical/mechanical schematic drawings. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to communicate effectively with co-workers.
1.8. Bilingual in Spanish or Turkish would be beneficial but not required.
1.9. Previous pipe mill and processing experience preferred.
2. Responsibilities:
2.1. Maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System and train Maintenance
employees on navigating and understanding the system. (Generating and completing work
orders, P.M. Schedules etc.)
2.2. Receives and reviews all non-emergency work orders from the requesting departments. The
MP/S reviews and screens each work order to see that it has been properly filled out with the
required information by the requester of the work.
2.3. Assists Maintenance Supervisors with the review, planning and scheduling of all recurring PM (preventive maintenance) activities with feedback from supervisors.
2.4. Reviews assigned HSE work orders and coordinates with maintenance supervisors to plan work for completion of action items.
2.5. Works with Department Managers to properly prioritize work and ensure proper resource
Allocation.
2.6. Perform a variety of routine tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization
with methods, practices, and programs of the organization.
2.7. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
2.8. Must be available and able to work outside the normal work week schedule when needed.
(emergency breakdowns and scheduled outages.)
2.9. Work with Vendors, outside contractors and suppliers to obtain quotes for projects, parts
and other services.
2.10. Purchases parts as necessary for the completion of projects.
2.11. Generate timelines, track and report progress, and provide frequent updates for project activities.
2.12. Submits parts for addition to storeroom inventory when needed for uninterrupted daily operations.
2.13. Maintains equipment and process library and remains current on all equipment manuals.
3. Activities:
3.1. Using readily available clear and direct references providing straightforward solutions to
problems.
3.2. Collect and evaluate data, and develop plans for assignments that may involve design
application.
3.3. Develop additional research, analysis and reporting skills.
3.4 Create and distribute work and project plans and schedules to relevant people .
3.5. Communicate with other departments and provide maintenance support according to their
needs.
3.6. Other duties as assigned.
4. Authority and Obligation:
4.1. Reports to the Maintenance Manager.
4.2. Work closely with the Operations and Maintenance Management Teams on scheduling and prioritizing workloads.
4.3. This position has the authority to stop an operation if he / she deems it necessary, for reasons of imminent safety and/or possible equipment damage. However, he/she must notify the Operations Supervisor on duty and follow the established notification procedure if the interruption is for an extended time period.
