We are a locally owned construction company seeking a Financial Manager to oversee our financial operations. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who understands the unique financial demands of the construction industry — including job costing, project-based accounting, and cash flow management.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger
- Manage job costing and project-based accounting
- Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and cash flow reports
- File federal, state and local tax returns
- Reconcile all bank and credit card accounts
- Work with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking
- Manage the bookkeeping and office management functions
- Manage office benefit plans to include health insurance, HSA/HRA plan administration and SIMPLE IRA plan(s).
- Solicit and manage insurance renewals for property, workers comp and general liability policies.
- File and maintain OSHA reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and industry-specific reporting
- Support leadership with strategic financial planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of financial management experience (construction industry preferred)
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles (WIP reporting, percentage-of-completion, retainage, etc.)
- Experience with Quickbooks accounting software
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
