This is a full-time, on-site Optician role located in Chelmsford, MA. The Optician will assist customers with selecting eyewear that meets their vision and lifestyle needs. Daily tasks include fitting and adjusting glasses, supporting optometrists during eye exams, educating customers on lens options, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining accurate records. The Optician will also ensure compliance with prescriptions and contribute to the smooth operations of the practice.
- Expertise in Optics and the ability to assist customers with lens and frame selection.
- Strong focus on Customer Service and ensuring Customer Satisfaction throughout the experience.
- Knowledge of Optometry practices and processes, and ability to assist during Eye Exams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients professionally and empathetically.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate record-keeping and compliance with prescriptions.
- Previous optical or eyewear experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training can be provided.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional certification or training in optical work is a plus.
