Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in the Borough of Ridgway and Johnsonburg Borough with some flexibility for remote work. The Community Economic Development Coordinator will lead and support initiatives to advance economic and community growth in the Boroughs. Key responsibilities include implementing economic development programs, liaising with local businesses and organizations, and conducting outreach to promote collaboration and attract investments. The Coordinator will also oversee community development projects, create strategic plans, and engage with stakeholders to build a resilient and thriving community. The Coordinator will provide shared services to the Borough of Ridgway and Johnsonburg Borough.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Administration of a variety of community development projects including but not limited to the public improvements in targeted areas and implementation of downtown revitalization activities.
· Manage and submit grant application, management of subcontractors, and assisting with obtaining corporate sponsors.
· Track project progress on financial management of the project contracts.
· Develop new projects that match the boroughs’ planning goals.
· Manage aspects of grant-funded projects including regular communications with funding agency partners.
· Procure and manage projects.
