What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice Lineworker position at Borough of Grove City?
The Grove City Borough Electric Department (a municipal owned electric utility with 2,940 customers located in North Western Pennsylvania at the crossroads of I-79 and I-80) has an immediate opening for an Apprentice Lineworker to perform tasks associated with the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical distribution lines, and associated equipment. The successful candidate for this full-time position will have successfully completed a post-secondary electrical lineworker program and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. The successful candidate must also be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Class A CDL operators license within 90 days of employment. The Borough of Grove City offers an excellent benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision benefits, retirement, life insurance, and generous vacation leave. Starting salary is $28.54 per hour. Upon the successful completion of a six month probationary period the applicant will be eligible for cost of living and step increases per the current Collective Bargaining Agreement. Residency in Grove City Borough is not required, however the successful candidate is required to be available for emergency call outs.
