About the Role
We're staffing 2 contract network engineers for a major live event on a bridge in Los Angeles running May 7–22. The scope is clean and well-defined: build racks and label cables at the shop, transport equipment to site, stand up the network, maintain it throughout the event, then tear it all down. A thorough orientation call — including drawings and device configs — happens about a week before the job kicks off.
What You'll Do
• Build racks and label all cables at the staging shop before the event
• Transport and set up all networking equipment on-site at the event venue
• Maintain and monitor the live network throughout the deployment (long days outdoors)
• Direct on-site labor assistants — light instruction and coordination
• Attend a remote orientation call ~1 week before the job to review drawings and configs
• Execute clean tear-down and pack-out at the end of the event
What We're Looking For
• Strong working knowledge of networking fundamentals — CCNA-level or equivalent hands-on experience
• Solid grasp of IPv4/IPv6, NAT, spanning tree, TCP/UDP, BGP, VLANs, switches, and routers
• Experience with physical infrastructure: Ethernet, fiber, SFP modules
• Comfortable working long days outdoors in a fast-paced live event environment
• Ability to follow drawings and configuration documentation
• Experience giving direction or instruction to on-site helpers is a plus
• Physically able to build racks, run cable, and work on your feet for extended hours
What's Covered
• Competitive compensation
• Round-trip travel to Los Angeles fully covered
• Hotel lodging provided for the duration of the deployment
• All meals on the build site are provided
• Per diem covers any additional meal costs
• Bag reimbursement expense process for checked luggage when flying
• Hardware-specific training provided as needed — you just need strong networking fundamentals
No CCNA cert required
- You don't need a formal certification — just solid real-world networking chops. Orientation materials, drawings, and device configs will be provided before the job starts.
