Job Summary
Seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to National Electrical Code and local electrical codes.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely and efficiently on industrial equipment and infrastructure.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues within electrical systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs on complex electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage control circuits.
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovation projects, including frame carpentry and general handyman tasks as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in settings with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial electrical work with knowledge of commercial electrical systems installation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Hands-on experience reading electrical schematics.
- Skilled in high-voltage wiring practices, low voltage systems, and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments while maintaining safety standards.
- Additional handyman or frame carpentry experience is a plus for versatile project support.
