We are looking for Quality Inspectors to join our manufacturing team and play an important role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards for quality, performance, and customer satisfaction. The Quality Inspector will Ensure compliance to quality standards by examining parts, materials and assemblies to ensure they meet strict safety, dimensional, customer and regulatory standards for the automotive and aerospace / defense industries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be familiar with Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001, IATF-16949 & AS9100.
- Ability to read and interpret quality documentation such as standard operating procedures, work instructions and quality control plan requirements.
- Perform daily quality inspections on production materials, such as First Article Inspections / last article inspections, in-process inspections of WIP and finished goods, kit audits, pack audits, etc. ensuring compliance to specifications and documenting results of inspections.
- Identify, document and quarantine nonconformities discovered during the inspection process, utilizing quality management system requirements.
- Familiarity with inspection techniques and use of precision measuring equipment / gauges to determine product conformity.
- Familiarity with welding techniques in the disciplines of MIG and TIG welding, to proficiently assess weld quality.
- Partner with production and engineering teams to support root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA).
- Comply with and support company quality policies and procedures.
- Miscellaneous duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must demonstrate basic knowledge of inspection techniques such as FAI / LAI, process inspections and product / packaging assessments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with various levels of personnel, departments, and management.
- Exposure and familiarity with welding techniques, such as MIG / TIG.
- Must demonstrate basic problem-solving skills for problem solving and corrective actions.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in automotive and / or aerospace & defense manufacturing, preferably in a quality or inspection position.
