By using our 60 years of experience in the building industry and incorporating the principles discovered in the field of energy conservation, we continue to develop more efficient structures for our customers benefit.
The Outside Sales position is responsible for providing professional customer service to building contractors and retail customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Prospect and develop new customer accounts to increase both individual and company sales volume.
- Establish and maintain relationships with existing customers.
- Develop sales strategies and identify opportunities to improve sales performance.
- Assist customers with the credit application process.
- Communicate with customers to determine customer order requirements, scope, and schedules.
- Process customer quotes, orders, and returns.
- Handle customer questions, issues, and concerns in a timely, efficient manner.
- Achieve sales and margin goals.
- Research market trends, competitor activities, and industry trends.
- Identify improvements that enhance customer service/retention and grow business.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements include:
- 3 years of customer service experience.
- Minimum 5 years of building material / construction industry experience.
- Proficient in takeoff's and blueprint reading.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to meet changing and strict deadlines.
- Result driven and able to work collaboratively as well as independently.
- Detail oriented with a strong history of accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook.
