What are the responsibilities and job description for the Podiatrist/Podiatric Surgeon position at Borinquen Medical Center?
We are seeking a full-time, compassionate Podiatric Physician to join our growing practice with five locations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
- Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating foot and ankle conditions through physical exams, medical histories, x-rays, and lab tests.
- Performing foot and ankle surgeries within scope, treating sports injuries, fractures, diabetic foot issues, and wounds.
- Prescribing medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, and providing patient education on foot care and wellness.
- Administering medications and local anesthetics, reviewing medical histories, ordering additional tests, and referring patients to specialists when needed.
- Maintaining accurate records in EHR.
- Skills required include prior podiatry experience, knowledge of both therapeutic and surgical treatments, familiarity with genetic abnormalities and deformities, excellent communication skills, and up-to-date technology knowledge.
- Applicants must hold a DPM license for Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island, be able to commute or relocate to Franklin, MA, and work in person.
