Maintenance Worker

Starting Rate: $17.67 an hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Will handle the daily operations of general maintenance duties
2. Working knowledge of commercial building repair & maintenance to include electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and carpentry
3. Must have excellent customer service skills
4. Minor automotive repair to include tire repair, fueling and service of small engine equipment
5. Proficiency in welding and fabrication is desired
6. Familiarity of running motorized lifts and being able to work on scaffolding and ladders, above 20-ft if necessary
7. Must be safety conscious
8. Flexible with working schedule and the ability to work over time if needed
9. Perform snow removal duties, operation of snow plows, tractors, backhoe and street sweeper.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE: Two years casino/general maintenance

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license. Must have valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is sometimes strenuous. Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods and frequently work on ladders and scaffolds, indoors and outdoors. May work in dusty, dirty, hot, or wet conditions, or in confined areas, or other uncomfortable places. Must follow strict safety procedures at all times to avoid injury. Moving/lifting up to 75 lbs. & climbing. Must have full range of motion. Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, Ability to work at heights 20 feet or above

WORK ENVIRONMENT: We maintain an alcohol/drug-free workplace. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and perform in casino operations containing smoke and second hand smoke with high noise level and bright lights. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Above-average oral communication skill; able to work in a fast-paced environment; problem-solving ability; able to operate a computer, radio and phone.
