Border Counseling Services is Growing Again!
Border Counseling Services is currently seeking qualified and compassionate mental health professionals to join our expanding team. We currently have an opening for a Licensed Mental Health Providers (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) as well as candidates who are close to licensure. LPC supervision may be available for the right candidate.
We have an established 10-year transformative mental health clinic dedicated to serving the entire family through compassionate, trauma-informed care. Our team values collaboration, professional growth, innovation, and excellence in client care.
We are seeking a provider who is passionate about helping others, committed to continued learning, and eager to work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team using evidence-based and trauma-informed therapeutic interventions.
Schedule Expectations
- Monday mornings optional
- Flexible scheduling Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Providers must be able to maintain a full caseload
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with clients across a broad range of mental health concerns and diagnoses
- Possess trauma-informed training and understanding of EMDR or other evidence-based trauma therapies
- Demonstrate compassion, professionalism, adaptability, and a willingness to grow clinically
- Be committed to providing culturally responsive and client-centered care
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master’s degree in a mental health-related field
- Current Alaska licensure (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) or actively working toward licensure
- Ability to meet and maintain credentialing and privileging requirements for BCS insurance networks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy and ability to utilize the BCS electronic medical record system
- Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation
- Maintain own individual malpractice insurance
