Job Summary
As a Copier Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing timely and efficient technical support for copiers and other related office equipment. Your primary goal will be to ensure the smooth operation and optimal performance of copiers, as well as diagnose and resolve any technical issues that may arise. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on copiers, printers, scanners, and other office equipment.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot copier malfunctions, hardware and software issues, and network connectivity problems.
3. Install, configure, and upgrade copiers and related peripherals, including drivers and software updates.
4. Respond to service requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact to client operations.
5. Communicate with clients to gather information about equipment issues and provide updates on the status of repairs.
6. Maintain accurate documentation of service calls, repairs performed, parts used, and other relevant information.
7. Advise clients on proper equipment usage, maintenance best practices, and recommend solutions to optimize performance.
8. Collaborate with team members and escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians or manufacturers when necessary.
9. Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in copier systems to enhance knowledge and skills.
10. Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is a plus.
2. Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.
3. Familiarity with common office equipment brands, models, and their maintenance requirements.
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
