Job Responsibilities
- Clean, set up, operate, and monitor filler equipment.
- Complete all required quality checks and documentation.
- Collect samples for Quality Assurance testing.
- Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of products.
- Adjust filler timing and filling; check vats as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating issues.
- Perform filler equipment and line changeovers safely for the next production run.
- Operate wrapper equipment; monitor for jams and properly thread product wrap.
- Complete cleaning checklist after each production run.
- Follow all sanitation and quality policies and report any deficiencies.
- Ensure correct packaging materials are used for each product.
- Adhere to food safety and quality system requirements, including regulatory, customer, and SQF standards.
- Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Operate casing and stacking equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
- Experience in the food and beverage industry preferred.
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting process and equipment data to improve quality and throughput.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; capable of performing basic mathematical calculations and accurately recording data. Bilingual skills are beneficial.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for virtually the entire shift.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 lbs.
- Ability to work for extended periods in a cold, damp environment.
- Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Exposure to nut allergens.
