Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate will assist in all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent writing ability, and a proactive approach to managing caseloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a caseload of litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
- Participate in discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and depositions
- Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Assist in case strategy development and risk assessment
- Review and analyze case files, evidence, and legal documents
- Maintain accurate and organized case records
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in California
- 1–5 years of litigation experience (civil litigation preferred)
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Experience with court appearances and depositions is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently
- Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, V-Lex)
