ARCHITECT II / III or Architectural Project Manager
BORArchitecture is accepting resumes searching for a Licensed Architect II or III and/or an Architectural Project Manager to join our team and be a proactive member of our local community here in Yakima Washington. BORArchitecture is a highly respected firm established in 1994 to provide high quality full architectural and interior design services for our clients.
Architect II / III or Architectural Project Manager Job Description:
- Work with clients to confirm design objectives and formulate options; may prepare and conduct design and technical presentations for team and/or clients.
- Team with Principal-in-Charge to develop design concepts and translate them into workable construction systems; evaluate alternatives to develop solutions and maintain quality control.
- Coordinate/lead the work of architecture and interior design staff as well as sub-consultants to complete design work and construction documents.
- Responsible for taking full responsibility for managing all aspects of multiple small projects.
- Responsible for managing multiple small/medium projects, coordinate all aspects of assigned projects, and determine needed scope of work for the firm and the consultants.
- Participate in the conceptual design and provides full support throughout the entire project; design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration through close-out.
- Prepare design and technical solutions and coordinates with the Principal-in Charge or the senior architect on appropriate solutions and product strategies.
- Coordinate regularly with the Principal-in-Charge and the design team regarding project status; ensure work meets clients' requirements, is timely and completed within budget.
- Prepare drawings from preliminary concept to final permitting and construction drawings and specifications.
- Participate in or lead the construction administration for projects.
- Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
- Participate in marketing efforts, including presentations.
General Requirements:
- Professional Bachelor’s or Master of Architecture required (or equivalent level of work experience).
- 6 to 8 years-experience working on a broad range of projects.
- Relocate and live in the Yakima Valley area.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a collaborative work environment.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, organizational and time management skills.
- Concise, personable verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and SketchUp and Microsoft Office products required.
- Proficiency in or working familiarity with Adobe suite products; Photoshop, InDesign, etc.
- Understanding of 3-part product specifications.
- Interior Design experience is a plus.
- Knowledgeable of LEED, or similar, building requirements.
- Web design and production of marketing materials is a plus.
- Have a desire and commitment to being involved in the community. Such as joining and participating in one of the many community service clubs in the valley.
