Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, old-fashions, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Take food and drink orders from guests accurately.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with guests professionally, answering questions about menu items, and making personalized recommendations.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently while maintaining a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle cash register operations, process payments securely, and perform cashiering duties with attention to detail using retail math and food handling procedures.
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed diligently to maintain cleanliness, proper food handling practices, and compliance with health regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings including beverages, appetizers, entrees, and specials to upsell effectively and boost sales.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit; address concerns promptly to ensure positive experiences.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies to support smooth service flow during busy nights or events.
- Collaborate with team members to create a lively environment that encourages repeat visits and positive reviews.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, but willing to train the right person.
- Strong time management skills are essential for balancing multiple tables or bar stations during peak hours.
- Proven customer service skills that showcase your ability to connect with diverse guests while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
