What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crisis Provider position at Bootheel Behavioral Health?

Qualifications:
1. Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution in the field of psychology, counseling, social work or related field.
2. Preference shall be given to individuals with experience in delivery of crisis intervention services and mobile response.
3. Possess strong skills in assessment, crisis intervention, and care coordination of individuals experiencing mental health emergencies.
Duties:
1. Provide assessment, crisis intervention, care coordination, treatment planning, and group work for individuals experiencing a mental health emergency.
2. Work closely with other crisis providers, coworkers, community members, and family members in assisting with individuals experiencing mental health emergencies.
3. Assist in the development and implementation of the agency’s urgent and crisis services.
4. Provide primary on-call availability during and after agency’s regular business hours.
5. Implement, assess and further develop crisis services consistent with the philosophy of DMH statewide ACI system.
6. Manage referrals to crisis services effectively and efficiently.
7. Educate consumers and other stakeholders of use and access of crisis cervices.
8. Manage and coordinate agency MOCARS paperwork (crisis notes, etc.)
9. Review, address and manage reports from BHR daily.
10. Assist Coordinator of Crisis Services in orientation/training of new staff that will be providing on-call availability and crisis assessment and intervention.
11. Coordinate services of high risk consumers such as hospital discharges.
12. Maintain accurate and current client records.
13. Participate in staff meetings.
14. Facilitate agency staff with assessment and hospitalization procedures, as needed.
15. Assist Crisis Services Coordinator in gathering/tracking statistical information related to crisis services and its’ outcomes.
16. Other duties as assigned.
