Duties

• Perform a variety of hair styling services including hair extensions, coloring based on color theory, and precision cuts using tools like straight razors.
• Apply eyelash extensions, nail care treatments, and makeup applications to enhance client beauty routines.
• Manage appointment scheduling and client check-ins using salon software such as MINDBODY to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by listening to client needs, offering professional advice, and upselling retail products like hair care and skincare items.
• Maintain salon sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools, cleaning workstations, and adhering to health regulations.
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, answering inquiries, and processing payments efficiently.
• Mentor junior team members in hair threading techniques, retail sales strategies, and overall salon best practices to foster team growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cosmetology or barbering with a strong portfolio of hair styling work.
• Expertise in hair extensions application, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application.
• Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management.
• Solid understanding of color theory for custom hair coloring services.
• Skilled in sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and team members.
• Ability to perform retail math calculations for upselling opportunities effectively.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $21.55 - $25.95 per hour
