Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Federal Construction Project Manager to lead and manage government construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal contracting (including FAR/DFARS compliance), excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of federal construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, contract requirements, and safety standards
- Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Prepare and review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports
- Coordinate and lead pre-construction meetings, site visits, and inspections
- Monitor project progress and proactively address delays or issues
- Oversee project documentation, quality control, and closeout procedures
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
- Support bid development, including scope reviews and subcontractor pricing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of experience managing federal construction projects
- Strong knowledge of USACE/NAVFAC protocols and specifications
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project)
- OSHA 30 and current safety certifications preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
