Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Construction Project Manager/Estimator to lead and coordinate large-scale construction projects from inception to completion (multifamily, hospitality, storage, retail, industrial, and general commercial development space). The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in construction estimating, project management, and site supervision, with proficiency in industry-standard software tools. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage complex projects, collaborate with diverse teams, and ensure the successful delivery of commercial construction initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop accurate and detailed project estimates utilizing construction estimating software and Bluebeam.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and contract documents based on project specifications and schematics.
- Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation using Primavera P6 and other project management tools.
- Oversee project schedules, ensuring timely completion while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate effective communication and project execution.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, civil drawings, and contracts to ensure compliance with design intent and specifications.
- Monitor construction site activities to ensure safety protocols are followed and work is performed according to plans.
- Track project progress, prepare reports, and adjust schedules as needed to meet project milestones.
- Manage change orders, RFIs, and other contractual documentation to minimize delays or cost overruns.
- Utilize heavyBid software for accurate cost estimation and bidding processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management or as a project estimator within commercial construction environments.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, and other construction management tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques, project scheduling, contract administration, and blueprint reading.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects.
- Demonstrated ability in project coordination from pre-construction through closeout phases.
- Civil site experience is preferred along with a solid understanding of schematics and technical drawings.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, teams, and stakeholders at all levels.
