Description:
Seeking a dynamic licensed Special Education teacher to lead students and staff in up-to-date best practices in Special Education instruction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and complete student records, and prepare reports on children and activities, as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
Develop instruction for individual learners, academically, behaviorally, and socially as an ongoing process.
Provide each child with special educational services in a mostly self-contained setting.
Confer with parents, administrators, school psychologists, social workers, and professionals to develop individual educational plans designed to promote students' educational, physical, and social development.
Participate in all appropriate Case Conference Meetings.
When appropriate, modify the general education curriculum for special education students, based upon a variety of instructional techniques and technologies.
Perform other related duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises classroom, students, aides, and volunteers.
Salary : $48,000 - $92,028
