Duties
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including countertops, equipment, and utensils
- Support food running and serving duties to ensure timely delivery of orders to guests
- Handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely during stock replenishment and equipment setup
- Uphold a clean and welcoming environment
- Follow food safety protocols for proper food handling, storage, and temperature control
- Support buffet setup and service during breakfast, lunch, and evening mealtimes
- Assist with general kitchen duties including cooking, rotating freezer and cooler stock and ingredient prep
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience or restaurant background preferred; culinary experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and guest interactions
- Customer service experience in in-person settings, especially within retail or c-store environments
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, cleaning protocols, and food preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior banquet or large event experience is beneficial but not required
