Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled RN for our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will have surgical experience and possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves working closely with surgical teams to ensure the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. The RN will be responsible for maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to all safety protocols.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Prepare patients for surgery by conducting pre-operative assessments and educating them about the procedure.
- Assist in the operating room by providing direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as needed.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately in the electronic health record system .
- Provide support for patients undergoing various surgical interventions.
- Conduct post-operative assessments and provide appropriate discharge instructions to patients.
- Stay current with best practices in nursing care.
- Recovery Room responsibilities.
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing
- Experience in an Operating Room setting or Surgery Setting required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with compassion and professionalism.
