Full-Time Paraprofessional

Boone Central Elementary School is seeking a dedicated, patient, and energetic Paraprofessional to join our team for the 2026-27 school year.

In this role, you will work closely with teachers to provide instructional, behavioral, and administrative support. This is a 10-month position that aligns with the school calendar.

Key Responsibilities

• Instructional Support: Work with students in small groups or one-on-one to reinforce learning concepts

• Classroom Management: Assist the teacher in maintaining a positive, organized, and safe learning environment.

• Student Supervision: Supervise students during non-instructional times, including recess, lunch, and transitions between classes.

• Adaptation: Help modify assignments and materials to meet the diverse needs of students

• Communication: Provide feedback to teachers regarding student progress and behavioral observations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (Associates Degree or ParaPro Certification preferred).

• Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to remain patient, flexible, and calm in a fast-paced environment.

• Must pass a standard background check

• Must complete a Paraprofessional self-study competency program (is available after hire) unless the applicant holds a BA degree.
