Overview
We are seeking a high energy team player to join the Boon Choo crew. The Dishwasher plays a critical role in our success and is a big part of our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, glasses and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and providing excellent service to our guests.
You will also support the bar team by assisting in cleaning glasses and filling ice as well as bussing tables.
Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including helping cooks with basic food handling.
- Support banquet and catering events by ensuring timely cleaning of serviceware.
- Remove trash and recyclables from the kitchen area regularly.
- Help with bussing tables during peak service times to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies to maintain a clean kitchen environment.
- There is a small amount of prep work as well and growth opportunities for qualified employees.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Abilty to multitask
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Willingness to assist in other kitchen duties as needed, including food preparation and catering support, bar support
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
