We're seeking a Chief of Staff to the COO to join our New York office as one of our first twenty hires. This is an opportunity to join us on the ground floor, working alongside seasoned founders with a track record of successful companies.
About the Role
As Chief of Staff to the COO, you’ll be the operational right hand ensuring the company runs efficiently and scales smoothly. You’ll drive cross-functional initiatives, streamline processes, and help shape Boomerang’s culture and infrastructure as we grow. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced startup environments, enjoys wearing many hats, and wants to build systems that set the foundation for long-term success.
Core Duties
- Partner with the COO on financial operations, including streamlining invoicing and supporting financial models and forecasting
- Identify, implement, and optimize AI tools to automate workflows across operations, marketing, sales, customer success, and product
- Build and maintain business analytics infrastructure - dashboards, KPIs, and operational insights that inform company and product decisions
- Support marketing by drafting content and refining messaging for key initiatives
- Partner with the CEO on sales motions, including pipeline management, prospect research, and operational enablement
- Manage advisory boards and operationalize company-wide initiatives, including security compliance
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to leadership, helping surface insights and drive execution on top priorities
Skills and Experience
- 5 years of experience in operations, strategy, consulting, or chief of staff roles (startup experience preferred)
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a bias for action
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Comfort with financial models, basic accounting, and business metrics
- Highly adaptable and resourceful - thrives in ambiguity and enjoys problem-solving
- Passion for building company culture and fostering collaboration

$120,000 - $140,000
