Essential Functions

· Use specialized machines to spread concrete over a surface. Working on roads or highways during initial construction or resurfacing projects.
· Ability to operate paving equipment and troubleshoot issues
· Inspect the prepared grade before beginning paving operations
· Must be able to maintain, break-down, assemble, load, and unload such equipment.
· Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment, using mechanics’ hand tools, and report malfunctions to supervisors.
**MUST PASS PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN**
Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of experience and/or training in operating paving equipment, repair and maintenance or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work well under pressure and within timelines.
Preferred Education and Experience
· Five (5) years of experience in operating paving equipment, repair, and maintenance.
· CDL: Boomerang will support in obtaining if needed.
