Overview
We are looking for a driven and curious Product Engineer I to help support and improve our software solutions. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer experience; ideal for someone who enjoys solving real user problems in the oil and gas industry.
As a Product Engineer I, you’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality results, improve system performance, and ensure our products create real value for users.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain software features across the product stack (frontend, backend)
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate user needs into technical solutions
- Analyze product usage to identify opportunities for improvement
- Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and customer-reported problems
- Assist in deploying, monitoring, and maintaining hardware systems
- Continuously improve product performance, reliability, and user experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience (internships, personal projects, or co-ops accepted)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, C )
- Understanding of software development fundamentals (data structures, APIs, databases)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, or distributed systems
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
- Interest in product thinking, user experience, and data-driven decision making
