Job Description: The community development manager will be responsible for driving comp sales by creating and executing local marketing strategies, engaging in the community via social media platforms, increasing event sales, and promoting our Com/Ed programs. Additionally, supporting the district’s stores during peak sales times by providing customer service, helping to stock shelves, and striving to provide neat, clean and organized environments for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for our products, a strong sense of customer service, and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with the store general managers and the merchandising team to ensure that our stores are well stocked, attractive, and aligned with the local customers’ needs and preferences. You will also collaborate with the corporate marketing team to provide feedback and insights on the district’s performance and opportunities.

- Drive local interest sales in partnership with the store GMs and merchandising team by identifying and targeting potential customers, creating, and distributing promotional materials, and organizing in-store events and demonstrations.
- Engage the community via social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok) by creating and posting relevant and engaging content, responding to comments and messages, and growing our online presence and followers.
- Increase District 22 event sales by planning and hosting various events, such as workshops, seminars, book clubs, and parties, that showcase our products and services, attract new and existing customers, and generate revenue and referrals.
- Drive Com/Ed sales for the district by promoting our educational programs and courses, such as cooking, gardening, wellness, and art, to the local community, schools, and organizations, and facilitating the registration and enrollment process.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in community development, marketing, sales, or retail.
- Proficient in social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok, and able to create and edit content using various tools and software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, partners, and team members.
