Book of the Month is looking for a highly organized Senior Data Analyst to facilitate data delivery and reporting across the business. Our user base generates millions of rows of data daily, and the Senior Data Analyst will play a critical role in the way the company uses this information to make business decisions. Working across teams, you will be facilitating the orderly delivery of reports, data, and training across all parts of our business - including finance, supply chain, operations, growth marketing, product, editorial, and member experience.

- Build and maintain a standard set of report-ready data cubes used for reporting and analysis across the company
- Document and cross-train how best to use our internal data sets to make effective analytical decisions
- Work closely with other teams such as Product, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to understand company reporting and prioritize the reporting roadmap
- Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure new features and experiments can be effectively measured and reported on
- Right-size the Book of the Month data infrastructure and staff to meet our reporting demands
- BS in a technical or analytical discipline and 2-5 years of experience in a Data or Analytics role
- Strong Technical Skills:
- Highly proficient in writing complex SQL queries to transform raw user action data into business data
- Experience building reports and dashboards in a BI tool
- Experience with an OLAP database, such as Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, or Google Big Query is essential
- Experience with Python, R, bash or similar scripting languages in a plus
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. You are passionate about revealing hidden relationships and patterns.
- Strong collaboration skills. You are excited to collaborate with teams across the company to plan and execute data-driven projects that help the company make better, smarter, and faster fact-based decisions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Salary : $120,000 - $180,000
