What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sports Exchange Retail Associate position at Book Exchange?
The Sports Exchange is hiring for Permanent Full-Time positions. Must be available most hours we are open from 10am-6pm Mon.-Sat. and Noon-6pm Sunday.
Main Responsibilities include: Assisting customers in a fast paced environment while maintaining a genuinely upbeat, positive and helpful attitude. Processing and cleaning trades of sports & outdoor equipment in an efficient and effective manner. Stocking shelves, maintaining an orderly inventory and keeping the store neat and clean. Turning small problems into happy outcomes.
Main Qualifications include: An outgoing, genuinely friendly and respectful disposition with all customers and fellow staff members. A good knowledge of and enthusiasm for sports & outdoor equipment. The ability to learn new skills quickly. A good memory of what we have in the store and where it is located. Good computer and data entry skills. Self-motivated to always strive for improvement and growth in our company. The desire to stay with one company for a long time while your paycheck grows along with the company. Close attention to detail and excellent organization skills. The mental ability to multi-task and think quickly on one's feet. The physical ability to stand for long periods of time and safely lift 50 pounds. The enjoyment of working hard and satisfaction of realizing there is always work to do. Previous retail experience, working in a similar business preferred & come college experience will make you more competitive for this position.
