What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilites Aquarist position at Boodleshire Aquatics?
Job Description
Boodleshire Aquatics is looking for an ambitious, dynamic individual who wants to join a team of passionate aquarists as they grow a custom aquarium design, installation, and maintenance firm in Kansas City.
We are looking for someone who can contribute to the positions of (1) Facilities Aquarist and (2) Marketing Coordinator.
As a Facilities Aquarist, you will work alongside both aquarists and assist in the duties necessary to seamlessly operate the Boodleshire Studio, including the workshop and gallery. The facilities aquarist will report directly to the Facilities Manager and will be assigned duties pertaining to the management of the livestock and display aquariums, the cleanliness and order of the facility, and the maintenance of the service vehicles. This is the primary role and will account for most of your time.
As a Marketing Coordinator, you would be responsible for the execution of marketing campaigns as designed by the Marketing Manager. Your input and development of these campaigns would also be a welcome addition. You will be responsible for creating, editing, and posting content, then managing the social media accounts, the outreach events, and any other marketing campaigns developed. The extent to which you deliver on these responsibilities is only limited by your abilities, skills, and ambition. This is the secondary role and is limited by availability.
The split of duties will depend on the time available, however, the tasks of Facilites Aquarist will take precedence over that of Marketing Coordinator.
This position begins at 10 hours a week of paid training for 1 month. If you are a successful candidate, it ends with a part-time, 10 -12 hour a week position with performance bonuses available.
This position is more than just part-time help. The right candidate will also have the desire, ambition, initiative, and skills to grow in the position, contributing to the growth of Boodleshire Aquatics in exchange for performance and profit based bonuses, and the possibility of advancement in the company including a full time position with salary, unlimited PTO, and equity in the company, in addition to the benefits already offered.
