Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our fast paced envioprment team in the role of Kitchen Cook. Specifically for Thursday and Sunday. This position is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dietary services, focusing on high-quality food preparation and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food handling, menu planning, and culinary arts, with a passion for delivering fine dining experiences. Training starts at $16/hr. Once training has been completed hourly rate will be updated to discussed pay rate.
Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Assist in menu planning to ensure a diverse and appealing selection of dishes.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all food preparation processes.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to cater to specific dietary needs and preferences.
- Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation and presentation.
- Provide excellent food service to guests, ensuring satisfaction with every meal served.
- Participate in catering events as needed, showcasing culinary expertise in various settings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area, adhering to health regulations.
- Support other kitchen staff as required, fostering a cooperative team environment.
Experience
- Previous experience preferred.
- Proven background in fine dining or restaurant environments is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Experience in catering services is a plus, along with general kitchen experience.
