Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or cashiering tools
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Culinary experience or background in food preparation is highly desirable
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods
- Demonstrated sales skills with an emphasis on upselling menu items to maximize revenue
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation management tools is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
