The Role
You’ll prepare, finish, and plate a variety of desserts and pastry case items—supporting daily production, seasonal specials, and new product launches. You’ll follow Bonrue recipes with precision, maintain a clean and organized station, and help ensure our guests receive consistent, beautiful desserts every day.
What You’ll Do
- Follow recipes to prepare fillings, creams, doughs, icings, glazes, and garnishes
- Finish and decorate desserts with consistency and attention to detail
- Support prep and production of tart shells, cookies, pastries, and seasonal items
- Set up the pastry case with fresh, beautifully presented product
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe pastry station
- Label, rotate, and store product according to Bonrue and health department standards
- Assist with production logs and prep lists
- Communicate clearly with team leads to stay ahead of volume
- Support other BOH and FOH teams as needed
You might be a great fit if you:
- Have 1-2 years experience with pastry or dessert prep (professional or educational)
- Open availability: must be able to work morning or evening shifts, with flexibility around days off (including weekends and holidays as needed)
- Are comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen and love staying organized
- Have strong attention to detail and care deeply about presentation
- Are dependable, coachable, and eager to learn
- Can work early mornings, weekends, or holidays based on bakery needs
- Hold a valid Utah Food Handler’s Permit (or are willing to get one)
