POSITION OVERVIEW
The Operations Process Specialist is a member of the Information Technology Team and is responsible for production planning, production execution, and inventory management. Job duties include developing and implementing production plans, ensuring production is executed correctly, and managing and supporting inventory processes.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with operations, sales, business analytics, and finance to understand sales goals, resource availability, and production capacity to create accurate schedules
- Review, analyze, and create production schedules in ERP systems
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet changing demands
- Communicate production schedules and changes to relevant teams and stakeholders
- Continuously work to improve the scheduling process to increase efficiency and support operational initiatives
- Analyze data and generate reports on production performance and inventory metrics
- Support ERP and inventory management systems as related to scheduling and inventory management
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- 2 years of demonstrable experience in production planning and scheduling
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts and information to non-technical end users verbally and in writing
- Solid understanding of production processes, inventory management and supply chain processes
- Proficiency in using production planning software and ERP systems
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment
- Strong organizational skills
