Duties

As a Supervisory Supply Systems Analyst, You Will

  • Manage and direct the work of the materials management staff, ensuring inventory is accurately maintained, compliant, and readily available.
  • Develop and oversee quality assurance, contract inspection, and material quality processes.
  • Analyze logistical functions and material management systems to identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide leadership, technical guidance, and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Foster and maintain effective working relationships within the organization, with other federal agencies, and with external industry partners.
  • Serve as a key member of the logistics management leadership team, assisting in the development and implementation of strategic goals and policies.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-12, in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: 1) Leading supply chain or inventory management functions, such as overseeing inventory control, materials management, or logistics operations; 2) analyzing supply chain or logistics processes to identify inefficiencies and developing and implementing process improvements to increase productivity or reduce costs; and 3) managing a quality assurance program for materials or inventory, including tasks like developing quality standards, overseeing inspections, and resolving material quality issues.

"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
