Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our customers while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the POS system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash register duties, including cash handling and balancing the register at the end of shifts.
- Assist with food preparation and ensure all food handling guidelines are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders.
- Engage with customers to provide information about menu items and make recommendations based on their preferences.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food service or retail industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patrons.
- Basic knowledge of retail math to assist in managing transactions accurately.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a fast-paced environment.
