Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure a pristine environment
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in diner, family run breakfast and lunch restaurants
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order entry and billing
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking between serving, bussing, and assisting in food prep as needed
- Daytime hours 8 AM - 3:30 PM, must also have weekend availability
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food preparation techniques to ensure guest safety and satisfaction
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining genuine guest engagement
