Position Overview:
We are urgently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Licensed Veterinary Tech or Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care, client communication, and clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and equipment
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist in diagnostic procedures
- Provide compassionate care to animals and educate pet owners
- Maintain accurate patient records and update client information
- Perform dental cleanings and x-rays
- Assist with surgery procedures and monitor anesthesia
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed
- Manage inventory and assist with clinic organization
- Handle various forms of transactions
Schedule:
- Clinic operating hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pm
- Employees typically work a set schedule Monday-Friday with a minum of one Saturday a month
- Hours may range Part Time-Full Time depending on clinic needs at time of hire
Qualifications:
Required:
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting
- Previous customer service experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for animal care and welfare
