  • Evaluate material usage, scrap, rework, substitutions, purchase-price changes, and overall material yield.
  • Develop, maintain, and refine manufacturing overhead rates and allocation methodologies.
  • Analyze the financial impact of production volume, labor utilization, equipment usage, overtime, and downtime.

  • Coordinate periodic and annual standard-cost rollups for materials, labor, overhead, subcontracting, and outside processing.
  • Review standard-cost changes, maintain supporting documentation, and clearly communicate financial impacts to leadership.
  • Review newly created part numbers and manufactured items to confirm accurate standards are established prior to production or shipment.

  • Monitor and reconcile raw material, Work-In-Process (WIP), finished goods, service parts, and other inventory categories.

  • Ensure all inventory is accurately valued in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.

  • Support cycle-counting programs, annual physical inventories, and reconciliation activities.
  • Analyze slow-moving, excess, obsolete, and damaged inventory to recommend appropriate reserves and adjustments.
  • Investigate WIP balances and work orders that remain open beyond normal production timeframes.
