Front Counter Associate

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Front Counter Team Member for our dedicated gluten-free , vegan bakery & market. You will be the face of our shop, welcoming guests, serving delicious pastries, and ensuring a clean environment. Because we serve the celiac and allergen-sensitive community, accuracy and cross-contamination awareness are vital parts of this role.Key Responsibilities

• Guest Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and operate the POS cash register system.
• Product Knowledge: Learn our gluten-free ingredients and allergen profiles to safely answer customer questions.
• Bakery Staging: Stock pastry cases, arrange displays, and ensure all items are labeled correctly.
• Drink Preparation: Prepare coffee, & teas to order.
• Shop Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness by wiping counters, sweeping floors, washing service dishes, and emptying trash.
• Order Packing: Package delicate baked goods, pre-orders, and custom order pickups with care.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Previous retail, barista, or food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Communication: Clear, friendly verbal skills to interact with customers and kitchen staff.
• Allergen Awareness: Basic understanding of gluten-free diets or a strong willingness to learn celiac-safe protocols.
• Pace: Ability to stay organized, calm, and efficient during morning and weekend rushes.
• Physical Needs: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
